Errazuriz Max Reserva Syrah (Shiraz) 1998

Valle de Aconcagua, Region de Aconcagua, ChileBig, deep color. Made from three clones all fermented together. (In 99 they were fermented separate). Aged in one-third new oak barrels -- 50/50 French and American. Look for smoky roasted pepper aromas and flavours with tobacco and earth. The cooler year lowered the alcohol although in normal years they will use cabernet to reduce it and add complexity to the wine.
