Desert Wind Ruah 2007

Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesRuah is a Bordeaux style blind that mixes 48/36/16 merlot/cabernet sauvignon/cabernet franc from a very warm Wahluke Slope site. Look for classic aromatic cedar, Washington dried herb aromas with coffee, cedar, blackberry fruit with bits of liquorice and earth on the palate. The finish is a touch lean with slightly bitter notes. Best with grilled meats or after dinner with soft cheeses. The name Ruah comes from the ancient Hebrew for wind, breath, or spirit.Tasted: 29 March 2010Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
