De Martino Carmenère Alto de Piedras 2007
Isla de Maipo, Valle del Maipo, Region del Valle Central, ChileExpect a typically spicy, smoky, peppery nose with black cherry, crushed leaf, cocoa, vanilla and dried cardamom aromas. The palate is dry and elegant with light tannins. The fruit is a mix of cherry, cassis, coffee, tobacco leaf, saddle leather, dried herbs, and cedar bark with a touch of vanilla and bitter chocolate. Good solid style if a bit lean. Best with chicken or beef dishes.Tasted: 04 January 2010Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $30.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - Whitefish Group |
