De Martino Gran Familia Cabernet Sauvignon 2002
Isla de Maipo, Valle del Maipo, Region del Valle Central, ChileSimilar to 2001 with lots of sappy cassis, black cherry, leather, bay, savoury, spicy, black pepper, minty, tobacco aromas. Round, dry, full with grainy tannins and some astringency, a bit warm and tart and more linear but structured to age. Coffee, peppery, rooty, menthol, cassis, savoury, leather, tobacco, meaty flavours. Again, needs several years to tame the tannin structure but has potential to improve.Tasted: 31 December 2009Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:US | $45.00 | 750ml | estimated retail |
