Black Hills Carmenère 2007
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSoupy leafy, herbal nose with smoky, savoury, licorice root and menthol notes. Good thing its carmenère because the roasted pepper, tobacco and peppery, herbal, spicy, coffee menthol flavours are allowed. It may be too herbal for some but if you like spice in your red wine this is it. Thankfully the tannins are soft. Try this with a big piece of grilled lamb. The price is another story.Tasted: 07 November 2009Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $50.00 | 750ml | winery direct and private wine shops |
