Siro Pacenti Brunello di Montalcino 2003
Montalcino, Siena, Tuscany, ItalyThe super warm 2003 vintage keeps a lid on some of the aromatic and florals that usually mark the nose but the trade off is ripe fruit as you might expect but with fine acidity something in short supply in 2003. The older vineyards really handled the heat well to craft a complex wine with bright red fruits and a touch of savoury all with perfect balance. Should hold for 8 to 10 years.Tasted: 17 October 2009Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $98.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - Liquid Art |
