Siro Pacenti Brunello di Montalcino 1998
Montalcino, Siena, Tuscany, ItalyThe 1998 shows a bit more oak than we see currently but with the florals and earthy savoury notes you can get from Tuscan sangiovese with bits of plums. The styling is Pacenti super concentrated but with good structure and acidity. Soft, generous, round with fine weight and a touch of game and Brett. Should be fun with a mushroom-based risotto or grilled lamb.Tasted: 17 October 2009Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:US | $85.00 | 750ml | estimated retail |
