Mitolo Reiver Shiraz 2007
Barossa Valley, South Australia, AustraliaThe 07 crop was stressed and the skins were thick. Expect an intense red with a fragrant warm nose of cedar and spice flecked with chocolate and roasted coffee bean. The mid-palate is fat and rich sporting plums and blueberry fruit and an earthy liquorice peppery finish and just a hint of acidity poking through the back end. Solid. 'Reiver' refers to the border raiders of the Anglo-Scot borders; the site is a single-vineyard with 60 year old vines located in the Northern Barossa Valley.Tasted: 18 October 2009Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $45.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - Liquid Art |
