Mitolo Jester Shiraz 2007

McLaren Vale, South Australia, AustraliaThe Jester wines are designed to be enjoyed almost immediately after they are bottled. They refer to the shiraz as their "baby G.A.M" because it's aged in the same two and three year old barrels used for previous G.A.M. vintages. The heavier soils of Willunga in the southern McLaren Vale are where the fruit, which is all purchased, is grown. Look for a blue black colour with lifted notes of cedar and blueberries and smooth flavours of coffee blueberries and black currants. The tannins are light and round with a pinch or acid poking through the back end.Tasted: 18 October 2009Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
