Jim Barry The Lodge Hill Shiraz 2007

Clare Valley, South Australia, AustraliaThe driest year since 1983 has produced some intense shiraz. This wine is dark purple an overtly aromatic nose of white pepper, rosemary and cinnamon with blueberries and liquorice undertones. The palate is more of the same with a minty dried black fruit character, pepper and some round, soft tannins. Juicy friendly and ready to drink you can serve this all fall with grilled meats. One hundred percent Clare shiraz.Tasted: 13 September 2009Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
