Ricossa Barbaresco 2004

Piedmont, ItalyRich spicy, liquorice root, black cherry, mineral, saddle leather nose with tobacco and cedar notes. Ripe, round, dry palate with supple but grainy tannins and juicy acidity. Black cherry, plum, licorice, resin, peppery, savoury, spicy, leather, tobacco flavours. A touch rustic but otherwise solid fruit and extract. Will improve over the next few years but drinkable with beef or lamb now. Fantastic value for Barbaresco.Tasted: 09 January 2009Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
