Le Clos Jordanne Les Grand Clos Chardonnay 2006
Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaImpressive hazelnut, mineral, spicy, leesy nose with vanilla, butter, floral, lemon aromas and bits of baked green apple. Fresh, round, rich, elegant, crisp palate with a touch of oiliness but good finesse and much better extract than the rest of the lineup. Green apple, nutty, lees, waxy, salty, lemon, mineral, pear, butterscotch flavours. Good intensity and length with some delicacy if a bit overly leesy. Will improve over the next year or so.
