Dow's Vintage Port 1970
Douro Valley, Northern Portugal, PortugalIt's hard to describe how good the '70 Dow was, is and will be. Of course it is classic vintage balancing power and finesse with spirit. The floral notes draw you into the glass as do the plums, liquorice and minerality. It is still touch youthful and fiery on entry showing dried plums, almond and marzipan with some flecks of orange. It's the last vintage made in the old way at Dow and it's still going strong.
