Castillo de Monséran Old Vine Garnacha 2005
Cariñena, Aragon, SpainOpen spicy floral peppery nose with a strong raspberry and compost component. The entry is ripe and sweet, the textures slippery and the flavour components jacked sweet plums, white pepper, raspberry, and orange flecks with bits of acidity and barnyard poking through at the end. Plenty of fun here for the money and well suited to food. Try with duck, pork or lighter meats. Good value.Tasted: 10 December 2008Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $14.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - Mark Anthony Brands |
