Grant Burge Miamba Shiraz 2005
Barossa Valley, South Australia, AustraliaThe fruit is grown mainly at the 150-acre Miamba vineyard on 18 to 20 year old vines. It's barrel fermented using 50 per cent new American oak, the remainder is a mix of one and two year old American and French hogsheads. As it turns this was sensational vintage mark by the exuberant blueberry and chocolate fruit aromas and flavours. Rich and dense on the mid-palate the finish leans out offering elegant cedar, liquorice, coffee and cardamom and blueberries. Well done for the price.Tasted: 26 October 2008Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $28.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
