William Fèvre Chablis Bougros Côte Bouguerots Grand Cru 2006
Chablis, Burgundy, FranceFrom a small portion of the Bougros vineyard, this block has an appealing mineral, seashell, citrus, spicy lees, slate, smoky butter, honey and green apple skin aromas with a citrus blossom note. Dry, crisp, full palate with excellent acidity balance. Slightly austere but has very good weight with butter, green apple, lime, lemon, oyster shell, mineral, pear skin and floral flavours with a light, spicy lees and vanilla note on the finish. A precise, elegant style that needs several years in bottle. More robust than Les Clos but less complexity than Les Preuses, this may eventually surpass the latter. An excellent Chablis for the more patient.Tasted: 23 September 2008Tasted by: Stuart TobePrices:BC | $95.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
