Sauvignon Republic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2007
Marlborough, South Island, New ZealandLike the previous version, the '07 is intense with bits of canned asparagus and grassy, mineral, smoky notes. The attack is dry with citrus canned jalapeno, and pungent, tropical grapefruit and gooseberry notes with a touch of asparagus. A boisterous version of the varietal that Marlborough appears to have little problem turning out every year best with mussels, other shellfish and goat cheese.Tasted: 22 March 2008Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:US | $18.00 | 750ml | srp |
