Casa Silva Doña Dominga Sauvignon Blanc Semillon Single Vineyard La Hijulea 2007

Valle del Colchagua, Valle del Rapel, Region del Valle Central, ChileA lovely discovery with its aromatic fresh, lively, fruit nose made from grapes first planted in 1912. All original pre-phylloxera plants from the original Bordeaux cuttings. Look for a delicious, balanced blend of green peach, melon, mango with a fresh hit of grass and acidity. The blend is 50/50 sauvignon sémillon from the La Hijuela Vineyard in Colchagua. Yields are an amazingly low 30 hectolitres per hectare and it's all stainless steel ferment. Look for this to arrive in May, and when you find it, stock up.Tasted: 23 February 2008Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
