Vinha do Monte 2004
Alentejo, Central and Southern Portugal, PortugalNew label but same spicy, resiny, gamey, earthy aromas flecked with cherries and vanilla. The entry is rich and dry but surprisingly round and smooth for Portuguese red wine. Similar peppery, plum flavours with spice and licorice in the finish. Solid red wine for hearty fall dishes. It represents pretty good value for the adventurous sipper.Tasted: 31 October 2007Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $14.00 | 750ml | |
