Chateau Bonnet Entre-Deux-Mers 2006
Bordeaux, FranceBonnet was built in the 18th century and has remained in the Andre Lurton family since the end of the 19th century. The vineyard, and the wine, is a blend of 45/45/10 sauvignon blanc / sémillon / muscadelle. The '06 is a delicious rendition with its leesy, mineral, grapefruit nose flecked with passion fruit and gooseberry. The new screwcap finished Bonnet has shed that corky garlic flavour that often knocks down the top 5 per cent of fruit, in affect liberating this white wine. The finish is round and chalky with more gooseberry. A versatile food wine.Tasted: 22 September 2007Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $18.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
