Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesAnother big dark, opaque red wine from Bookwalter. In 2004 the nose and flavours are less overtly sweet which is I hope part of the new direction. Bright plummy sappy fruit with plenty of vanilla and mocha notes underneath and with what is becoming a signature twist of orange in the finish. A merlot the "Sideways" boys never contemplated.
