J. Bookwalter Merlot 2000
Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesIntense black licorice, vanilla, spicy, resiny shoe leather aromas with a big streak of black cherry and plum jam. Rich, round and intense with vanilla, peppery, spicy, cherry licorice flavours with a smoky, black cherry finish. A bit alcoholic but well balanced with ripe, soft tannins. Lay down another two to five years or drink with a grilled veal chop. This has improved with a year in bottle.Tasted: 26 December 2002Tasted by: Stuart TobePrices:BC | $44.95 | 750ml | Specialty |
