Bertani Valpolicella Valpantena 2002
Veneto, ItalyValpantena is the smallest region in Valpolicella with the coolest, darkest soils. Bertani uses the Ripasso method; re-fermenting the juice on the lees of another wine to add weight and power to the Valpolicella normale. The colour is showing some age but he flavours a ripe almost sweet with a soft silky texture. Light dry and yet full-bodied floral, mushroom cherry jam, spicy flavours.
