Tuscany, ItalyIn 2003 the nose mixes cigar ash, black cherry, coffee and coriander notes with flecks of vanilla and licorice. The palate is rich and round but with fine acidity and balance. Look for spicy, coffee, cassis, cherry, vanilla, peppery, tobacco flavours with some black olive, smoky, plum notes on the finish. There is ripe fruit but with some gripp-y tannins to shed over the next 3-6 years.
