Tuscany, ItalyBig peppery, smoky, spicy nose laced with black cherry, rootsy, resin, iodine, licorice, tobacco and sweaty saddle leather notes. Ripe, round, supple and full with good finesse. Spicy, smoky, resin, black cherry jam, prune plum, tobacco, meaty flavours. Warm finish but with fine concentration and length with some tannins still to soften. Will improve with 2-5 years further aging, especially in the magnums offered. Very fine effort from an excellent vintageThis 50/50 sangiovese, cabernet sauvignon mix offers up a smoky, spicy nose laced with black cherry, rootsy, resin, iodine, licorice, tobacco and saddle leather notes.
