Miguel Torres Manso de Velasco 2000
Valle del Curicó, Region del Valle Central, ChileAnother off year in Chile but Velasco's 100-year-old and more vines seem to transcend a lot of vintage variation. Look for a fragrant red wine with a warm rich mid-palate of dark red fruits and a streak of bay leaf. It remains firm and cabernet-ish with a bit of alcohol poking through the coffee, vanilla and plum fruit finish. Solid red wine with an elegant demeanour.Tasted: 08 June 2006Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:ON | $39.00 | 750ml | winery private collection |
