Domaine Faiveley Corton Clos des Cortons Faiveley Grand Cru (Monopole) 2002
Côte de Beaune, Côte d'Or, Burgundy, FranceIntense smoky, meaty, carrot top nose with black cherry, peppery, beeswax aromas and some tobacco compost notes. Dry, slightly fat style with fine, slightly chunky tannins. On the palate there's more spice compost, black raspberry, citrus peel and gamey, smoky tobacco flavours. Long meaty, rootsy finish. Needs a decade to reach its peak. Terrific bottle.Tasted: 13 November 2005Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $149.95 | 750ml | specialty listing |
