Domaine Faiveley Corton Clos des Cortons Faiveley Grand Cru (Monopole) 1999
Côte de Beaune, Côte d'Or, Burgundy, FranceLovely deep red colour. Serious dark fruit nose with spicy, earth and peppery black cherry highlights. Smooth entry with big, chunky textures on the mid-palate. Lots of spicy fruit and fine length with no shortage of tannin to yet disperse. Rootsy licorice vanilla finish. Will need time to come around.Tasted: 27 April 2003Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $109.99 | 750ml | Speculative - Winspeer |
