Saint-Benoit Côtes du Ventoux Lou Magnan 2002

Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceMade predominately with grenache you pick that up on the nose with its blueberry, raspberry, cardamom, peppery notes and just a dusting of meaty, gamey, licorice root notes. The textures are round but chunky with some light tannins. Raspberry, chocolate, peppery, tobacco and licorice root flavours. A bit dry but has good intensity. Pair with rich grilled meats.Tasted: 26 September 2005Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
