Saint-Benoit Côtes du Ventoux Lou Magnan 2001

Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceRich gamy, leather, resiny, licorice aromas with black raspberry jam. Lots of peppery, smoky, licorice black raspberry jam flavours that are quite typical of grenache with a some dry, tight tannins in the background that have yet to disperse. Grilled meats and/or time will help this wine settle down. It's made from 70% grenache, 22% carignan and 8% mourvèdre.Tasted: 24 July 2003Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
