De Angelis Anghelos Marche Rosso 2001

Marche, ItalyStrong vanilla, coffee, gamey animal, prune, black cherry, earthy, waxy aromas with some blackberry. Very dry, somewhat tannic but ripe and rich with coffee, peppery, prune plum, vanilla, black cherry, spicy, meaty flavours. Somewhat tight and tannic on the finish with lots of oak, needs 2-3 years or a big, marbled steak. A bit dryer and leaner than prior vintages.Tasted: 10 February 2005Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
