Altesino Brunello di Montalcino Montosoli 1999
Montalcino, Siena, Tuscany, ItalyIntense ripe cherry, plum, kirsch nose mixed with black pepper, licorice root, smoky game and orange peel with a bit of vanilla and celery salt. Rich, ripe and round with substantial grainy tannins. Big mocha, peppery, licorice root, orange peel, cherry kirsch, gamey flavours with a Christmas pudding finish and very good acidity. Big stuff, somewhat backward, this will reward 7-12 years of cellaring.Tasted: 27 July 2004Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $149.00 | 750ml | Speculative - Stile Wines |
