Domaine Christian Moreau Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos 2002
Chablis, Burgundy, FranceLes Clos is consistently among the best Chablis Grand Cru we taste and the Moreau is no different. The winemaking is all done in stainless steel before the wine is aged for four months in barrels (90 per cent in 1, 2 and 3 years old barrels, 10 per cent in new and 1 year old barrels). Look for a nutty, dry slate, citrus, green apple skin nose with some buttery, honey streaks. The palate is rich, round, ripe and dry. Big honey, butter, citrus, chalky, melon and green apple flavours invite you into the glass. Long and balanced in the finish with fine finesse.
