Austin Hope Syrah 2001

Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo County, Central Coast, California, United StatesSpicy, savoury, peppery, Christmas cake notes mixed with vanilla coffee, currants and meaty, roasted notes. The style is rich, smooth and round; the palate packed with super fine tannins. Ripe blackberry, black cherry, coffee, and vanilla flavours are mixed liberally with cola, licorice and more peppery, Christmas cake flavours. Long and flavourful with good balance despite a warm, alcoholic finish. If you like your syrah big this is it.Tasted: 13 May 2004Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
