Sandhill Small Lots Program Syrah Phantom Creek Vineyard 2002

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaAttractive peppery, licorice, saddle leather, meaty nose with black berry aromas with some roasted pepper streaks - definitely Pacific Northwest syrah. Rich, round, fat entry with some warmth and very soft tannins. More roasted pepper, smoky, spicy, gamey, meaty notes with black licorice flavours with vanilla and mulberry fruit undertones. Soft and ready to go if a bit alcoholic. Great effort for young vines and another reason why we like the 2002 vintage.Tasted: 23 March 2004Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
