Montalcino, Siena, Tuscany, ItalyRennina is made with fruit that comes off three separate sites all located on a portion of the estate that bore the Rennina name according to documents dating from the 8th century. Look for big black cherry jam, gamey, vanilla, peppery, liquorice root, saddle leather nose with spicy, smoky cigar streaks; quite aromatic. Ripe, round, soft tannins and fine finesse. This is a somewhat newer style but with fine structure and balance. Very warm with peppery, mocha, ripe black cherry, black berry, gamey smoky flavours with a tobacco, liquorice finish.
