Castaño Monastrell 2003

Yecla, Valencia and Murcia, SpainThe latest monastrell from Castaño continues to deliver for the price. Nice dark cherry colour. Open black cherry, gamey, meaty, liquorice, smoky, peppery nose. Soft, dry and round with fresh black cherry, plum, liquorice, meaty spice flavours. Good acidity, very fresh style but rich and fruity with quite a dry finish and a touch of tannins.
