Napa Valley, California, United StatesRipe blackberry jam, earthy, licorice root aromas streaked with peppery, vanilla, saddle leather aromas and some coffee notes. Very warm and ripe but somewhat dry and astringent on the palate with more blackberry, smoky vanilla, licorice, earthy, peppery flavours. The finish is a bit lean and hot and the wine appears to be a bit hollow and unbalanced at this point.
