La Cour Pavillon Sauvignon 2002
Bordeaux, FranceLa Cour Pavillon has been around since 1970 created by MW Martin Bamford. The concept of La Cour Pavillon is and remains simple: a personal selection of the cuvées and assemblage of cuvées two-thirds from the Entre-Deux-Mers district and one-third from the gravel covered soils of the Graves. The blend is 67/33 sauvignon blanc/sémillon. Look for orange rind, mineral, canned asparagus and passion fruit on the nose. It is round and sweet on entry with crisp acidity and a whack of canned grapefruit, green apple and asparagus flavours. Unusually sweet for Bordeaux and a bit commercial. Serve with fish and/or white meats.Prices:BC | $11.75 | 750ml |
