Peter Lehmann Stonewell Shiraz 1996
Barossa Valley, South Australia, AustraliaLehman's famed Stonewall shiraz results from low-yielding old vines located in the Stonewell, Ebenezer and Moppa sub-districts of the Barossa Valley. The fermentation is finished in 85 per cent new American oak and 15 per cent French oak before the wine is aged two more years in wood and a further three years in before release. Look for a big sweet vanilla, coffee, leather, roasted prune, blackberry jam aromas. Smooth, warm and rich with light dry tannins. Massive boysenberry jam, black raspberry, vanilla, spicy coffee mocha flavours. Good structure, long and warm with some elegance.Tasted: 04 September 2003Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $78.00 | 750ml | Specialty |
