Sandhill Merlot Burrowing Owl Vineyard 2001

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaMedium colour with a dill/olive nose and an earthy, resiny character and a wisp of smoky, black cherry fruit. The merlot textures (soft and round) are more prevalent in the '01 signalling better tannin management. The flavours are a mix of more resin and earthy, herbal black cherry fruit and a dusting of smoky, cherry cola. Perfect for lightly spiced grilled meats.Tasted: 16 June 2003Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
