Western Cape, South AfricaOne of South Africa's most famous blends for over 50 years, this medium-full bodied red features fairy rich, ripe prune-berry fruit, smoky oak, charcoal and leathery notes. Some sour notes on the palate, but has very good density, extract and length. Rustic, with some Cape iron-earthiness. The varietals are not specified but pinotage is recognizable in this vintage.
