Paarl, Coastal Region, South AfricaA nice jump up in quality here over a mediocre '97 and one of the best since the style was revamped in 1994. Look for a full flavoured red made from an unusual blend of cabernet sauvignon (45), merlot (20), shiraz (10) and ruby cabernet (25). Fine use of older oak to fill out the body and soften the finish.
