Pepi Colline di Sassi 1999
California, United StatesEarthy, gamey, cherry, barnyard aromas with peppery, spicy notes. Moderately tannic and alcoholic with peppery, earthy, licorice flavours and a spicy vanilla, cherry finish. Lean and somewhat acidic but not unlike many Italian versions. Another year in bottle will help this wine settle down and reach its peak. The blend is 59/41 sangiovese/cabernet.Tasted: 18 February 2003Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $37.95 | 750ml | Speculative - Rennaisance |
