Carmen Pinot Noir Reserve 1999
Valle del Maipo, Region del Valle Central, ChileGood colour. Intense minty cedar cassis fruit nose. Not much ripeness which is surprising given the quality of the '99 harvest. Silky rich entry with smoky bacon flavours, some tannin and a minty black cherry finish. There's a fair whack of oak in the finish. Not much pinot character for the price.Tasted: 01 March 2002Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $23.95 | 750ml |
