Bonterra Vineyards Zinfandel 1998

Mendocino County, California, United StatesThere have only been three vintages of zinfandel but the '98 may be the best yet. It's all stainless steel fermented and aged in mostly old American oak. The fruit is plummy and the texture plush. The finish is spicy and slightly more peppery than the syrah.
