Almaviva Primer Orden 1998
Puente Alto, Valle del Maipo, ChileVery dark cherry colour. Intense ground white pepper, minty, licorice, shoe leather aromas with mushroom, earth and cherry in the background, very unusual. Rich, supple, and intense with white pepper, leather, cherry and licorice flavours, somewhat gamey. Long and balanced with good complexity and weight. The somewhat tannic finish should round out in 2-4 years. It is a substantial improvement over the previous vintages.Tasted: 01 March 2001Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $129.95 | 750ml | Specialty |
