Almaviva Primer Orden 1996
Puente Alto, Valle del Maipo, ChileAlmaviva is produced by Concha y Toro and Chateau Mouton Rothschild from grapes grown at Concha Y Toro's famed Alto Puente vineyard in Chile's Maipo Valley under the viticultural and enological direction of Baron Philippe de Rothschild - France. Interestingly it takes its name from the main character in the piece, The Marriage of Figaro written by Beaumarchais and reworked by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart into one of the most popular operas of all time. Beaumarchais' handwriting is on the label, accompanied by pre-Hispanic ethnic symbols, which represent Chile's contribution to universal culture.Tasted: 01 March 1999Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $105.00 | 750ml | Specialty |
