Eileen Hardy Shiraz 1997
South Australia, AustraliaThe source of the '97 fruit is mostly McLaren Vale (87 percent) with the remainder from Padthaway (13 percent). A ripe and complex nose of blackberry jam, coffee, pepper, vanilla, and plum aromas with spice and lanolin. Similar richness on the palate with very good concentration. Balanced but supple, dry tannins in the finish. Ripe blackberry, coffee, smoky bacon, pepper and earth flavours with a long finish. Excellent quality and consistency - perhaps a bit more refined than previous years.Tasted: 01 March 2000Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $62.95 | 750ml |
