Wynns Coonawarra Estate Shiraz 1996
Coonawarra, South Australia, AustraliaVery varietal. Concentrated flavours of pepper, licorice, plum and earth. Definitely Coonawarra with its firm acidity and soft tannins. The white label shiraz is made from fruit spread all throughout Coonawarra. Winemaker Sue Hodder tells us the sandy soils add a gamy flavour, the terra rossa - pepper and limestone gives the fruit a plummy taste. Killer value.Tasted: 01 March 1999Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $16.95 | 750ml |
